Time to get outside and see who’s around!
Join WBF member, illustrator and naturalist Alan Messer for a fall hawk walk in Central Park on Saturday, October 27 (rain date October 28). We’ll look for redtails and broad-winged hawks, as well as sharp-shinned and Cooper’s hawks. Other raptors and soaring migrants can be seen overhead this time of year.
We’ll make our way through the Pinetum and into the Ramble to look for sparrows, woodpeckers, finches and nuthatches. The crisp fall air and the changing leaves will be the backdrop for a big adventure!
We’ll be meeting at the Wild Bird Fund (address below) at 9 AM SHARP.
Due to inclement weather, the walk will now be held on the rain date is Sunday, October 28
The walk is $15; for members of WBF, it is $10.
(Interested in becoming a member? It’s only $10 a month! Click here for more info!)
