Special October Big Day Bird Walk!

October 6, 2018 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
$15 – $20
  • This event has passed.
Still haven’t seen enough birds this season? Please join us and expert birder Carine Mitchell this Saturday, October 6, for a bird walk through Central Park as we see which migrants are stopping by on their way south.
We might even release a few tiny patients who have recuperated and are ready to go.
We’ll be scanning the Ramble for those hard-to-ID warblers, as well as tanagers, thrushes, woodpeckers and nuthatches. We’ll keep our eyes out for migrating raptors, including red-tailed hawks, Cooper’s hawks and even bald eagles — spotted twice this week!
We’ll also be participating in the Cornell Lab’s October Big Day, a “massively international collaborative birding event,” so get your eBird apps ready! Read more about it here.
