YOU’RE INVITED TO WBF’S SEMI-ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE

WHEN: Saturday, December 17 from 12 to 5 pm.

WHERE: Wild Bird Fund, 565 Columbus Avenue (north of 87th)

WHY: Your opportunity to see first-hand what WBF does. WBF is the only wildlife rehabilitation facility in NYC, treating 4,500+ wild patients this year. With a small but dedicated staff and hundreds of caring volunteers, WBF heals injured songbirds, squirrels, pigeons, hawks, herons, ducks, and swans, among many other species.

WHAT: A behind-the-scenes tour: Go on a guided tour of the clinic, which is usually closed to the public. See the waterfowl room, the flyway, the isolation room, the lab and our new addition that will become the wildlife ER. Meet some of our patients, loyal volunteers and observe licensed wildlife rehabilitators at work.

Stock up on holiday gifts: T-shirts, aprons, tote bags, hand-made felt birds, bird-related books and Alan Messer’s collection of wildlife greeting cards. Purchase a work of art from our 1st Annual Volunteer/Staff Art Show, curated by photographer Andrew Garn. 50% of your art purchase benefits the Wild Bird Fund.
